Finally chose a Klein drill over DeWalt for my install rig. Here's why it mattered.

I was stuck between the Klein 23-in-1 impact and my old DeWalt for running coax in attics this summer. The Klein is so much lighter (like 2 pounds less) and fit in tight rafters better, but I worried about losing power. After 30 jobs with it, I only had to switch back to DeWalt once for a super thick concrete wall. Has anyone else switched drill brands mid-career and regretted it or been glad they did?

Wait, doesn't it bother anyone else that Amy is trying to correct a grown man on what tools he's actually holding in his own hands? I mean, I've definitely called my multitool a "gizmo" before, but confusing a screwdriver for an impact is like confusing a butter knife for a chainsaw. Maybe she's never actually used a Klein 23-in-1, because that thing is built like a tank and can definitely handle some light drilling if you're not trying to break concrete. But hey, if she wants to argue semantics while I'm sweating in a 130 degree attic, she can come up here and show me the difference.

Oh wait, I think you might be mixing up models a bit! The Klein 23-in-1 is actually a screwdriver, not an impact driver. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they don't make an impact version of that exact tool. The weight difference makes sense though, that screwdriver IS super light compared to a full impact.
