Found a trick for fishing lines through pre-existing conduit that actually works
I spent 45 minutes fighting a stubborn pull line in a 2 inch conduit under a new build in Austin last Tuesday. Tried the typical vacuum and bag method but the bag kept tearing on a sharp bend. Has anyone else had luck using a shop vac with a thin plastic grocery bag tied to a string instead of the expensive kits?

Yeah the plastic grocery bag trick has been my go to for years honestly. I mean it's definitely hit or miss depending on how tight the bends are but for a standard 2 inch conduit it usually works way better than those overpriced kits. One thing that helped me a lot is using a heavier duty bag like the thicker ones from Target or HEB instead of the flimsy H‑E‑B brand ones that tear super easy. Also tying the string through the handles and then wrapping it around the bag a few times keeps it from slipping off when you're pulling it through.

Buddy of mine tried this and the bag tore halfway through, left him fishing string out of a pipe for an hour.
