Got called out for a crawl space job in the rain last Tuesday
I was under a house in Tacoma, mud up to my knees, trying to pull a new line through a joist. The customer said they had a 'dry' crawl space, but it was basically a swamp from a busted pipe. My drill slipped off the wet wood and I punched a hole straight through their subfloor into the living room. I could see their dog staring down at me through the new hole. Had to climb out, explain what happened, and spend the next two hours helping them patch the floor before I could even finish the install. They were cool about it, but I lost half a day. What's your go-to move when a job site turns out to be a total lie about the conditions?

Honestly you should have checked the crawl space yourself first.

Tbh my old foreman always said to charge double for any "dry" crawl space after the first inspection.
