Ever think about how much drywall dust a coat hanger leaves in the wall? That fine powder gets everywhere. The rods are way cleaner, and you don't risk snagging insulation. Just a cleaner job overall.

Totally agree, I had a nightmare with a coat hanger a few years back. That fine dust just gets everywhere, I mean you think you wiped it all up but then a week later you'll find more on the floor. And yeah, the insulation thing is real, I snagged mine so bad I had to patch a hole anyway. Rods are definitely the way to go, just such a cleaner process from start to finish. I don't get why people fight it, it's way less hassle in the long run.
