Old timer at the supply house told me to ditch swivel ends on coax
Back in 2015 this guy named Pete who worked at the Graybar in Portland said swivel ends would fail way faster than compression fittings. I figured he was just stuck in his ways and kept using them because they were quicker. Fast forward two years and I had to go back to six different jobs I did in 2016 to replace those ends because the signal kept dropping. He was right the whole time, those swivel ends just can't handle the vibration from newer equipment. Anyone else ever get handed a tip that turned out to be the gospel truth way later?

Did that old timer also warn you about the weather sealing on those things?

Didn't I read somewhere those older models had issues with moisture getting inside?
