Serious question about those push-on coax connectors

I started using the push-on style F connectors about 6 months ago on residential jobs around here. Before that I always did the standard compression fittings. Now I'm seeing signal issues on 3 of the 8 houses I used them on, all with that white foam core cable. Has anyone else had trouble with these pull off too easy in attics?

Did you try tightening the little rubber boot on the connector before you pushed it on? I had a buddy who swore by those push-ons until he found out the boot was loose and letting the cable slip out in the heat.

My buddy had a similar setup on his old F-150 and he swore it was fine until the boot split during a long haul in July. Honestly, @val223, I get the logic but is it really that common? I've run push-ons on a few projects and never had a cable slip even in 90 degree heat, maybe it's more of a cheap part thing than a universal issue. Tbh I think people overcomplicate these connectors when the real problem is usually just a bad crimp on the wire end. Ngl I'd rather spend 5 minutes double checking the crimp than messing with a rubber boot that might not even need tightening.
