TIL a homeowner in Austin kept a note on their router from 3 years ago saying 'don't touch' and the cable was still a mess
Spent 45 minutes untangling that rat's nest while they watched and finally asked me 'so you're not supposed to loop the extra cable around the pole?' - has anyone else dealt with customers who think their DIY setup is sacred?

Had a guy get mad at me for unplugging his extension cord daisy chain he called "the backup system.

That reminds me of when @the_simon's neighbor had a whole setup of power strips plugged into each other for his Christmas lights, called it "the holiday grid." Stuff like that always makes me wonder how these folks got through basic safety stuff in school.
