Why nobody talks about how much easier terminated cable is with a good stripper

I spent my first 2 years using those cheap yellow strippers that come in the bulk tool kits. Took me forever to get clean cuts without nicking the copper. Last week I borrowed a Klein Kurve from a coworker on a job near Austin. The difference is night and day. I finished that 48-port patch panel in under 3 hours versus my usual 5. Has anyone else noticed a huge time save with a specific tool upgrade?

Disagree completely honestly. Those cheap yellow strippers are fine if you just take your time and learn the right pressure. I've been using the same $3 pair for 4 years now and my terminations are clean as can be (though I did replace the blade once with a utility knife blade). The real time save isn't the tool but knowing when to strip and when to just twist the pairs instead of cutting everything back. Most guys waste more time fiddling with a fancy stripper's adjustments than they save on the actual cut. A good strip is about feel and practice, not spending $30 on a tool that does the same thing.

I read a forum post where a guy said the Klein Kurve saved him an hour per panel, so your experience tracks for sure.
