Drove my buddy's office IT closet and nearly cried at the spaghetti nest
Stopped by my friend's office in Austin last week to help him move desks and opened the server closet to find like 40 cables just tangled into one giant ball, zip ties every 3 inches, zero labels. I spent 2 hours untangling just the ethernet runs and found 6 dead cables routed to nowhere that someone left in place since 2019. How do you even start fixing a mess that bad when it's not your equipment to rip out?
