Velcro straps beat those sticky cable clips every time. I redid my TV wall mount setup last Saturday and finally tested both methods side by side. The adhesive clips held fine for about 2 hours, then the HDMI cable's weight pulled one right off the wall. Velcro straps around the back of the media console cost me $8 for a roll of 100 and they hold everything snug without any glue residue. Plus when I swap out a cable or add a new game console, I just unwrap and rewrap in 20 seconds. Anyone else ditch the clips after fighting with them?

The "pulled right off the wall" part got me, same thing happened with my router's cable clips last month. I ended up with a sticky mess on my desk and a cranky cat who kept sniffing the residue. Now I just use those twist ties from bread bags, ugly but they work and I always have a pile of them.
