Warning: Velcro straps are killing your cable bundles

I've seen three setups this month where people wrapped velcro too tight around their power and data cables. That compression pinches the insulation over time, especially near bends. Last week a buddy's monitor started flickering and we traced it to a crushed HDMI cable behind his desk. Loosen those straps, leave a little give, and check your bundles every few months. Has anyone else had a cable fail from over-tightening?
