Can we talk about the right way to clean a camera sensor?

I've been swapping lenses in dusty fields for a decade, always used a blower and called it good. A guy at a meetup in Portland told me I'm probably grinding grit into the sensor that way. Now I'm stuck debating between buying a wet cleaning kit for $40 or sticking with my old method. Which side are you on?

Wet cleaning kit is the way to go if you're seeing spots that a blower can't touch. A simple swab and a drop of solution, one pass across the sensor, done. Just make sure the blower is used first to get any loose junk off, otherwise you're dragging that grit across the filter. It only takes a couple tries to get the hang of it, and the peace of mind is worth the forty bucks.
