Can we talk about ultrasonic cleaner solutions that go bad?
I just dumped out a batch of cleaning fluid I mixed up 6 months ago, wasted about $30 on chemicals because I didn't check the shelf life. The solution turned cloudy and started leaving residue on my brass lens barrels instead of making them clean. Has anyone else had this happen or am I the only one who stores premix too long?

LMAO been there done that with the exact same brass lens barrel situation. Nothing like spending thirty bucks on chemicals just to watch them turn into toxic pond water that leaves more gunk than it removes. I was so proud of myself for "being prepared" by mixing up a big batch and now I'm just out here learning expensive lessons about my own laziness lmao. The cloudy residue thing is the worst part, feels like the solution is basically punishing you for not using it sooner. At least we both learned the hard way that ultrasonic cleaner solutions are basically milk in disguise.

Cracked myself up mixing a fresh batch of cleaner right before a weeklong trip, came back to a jar of swamp water that looked like it was plotting revenge on my tools.
