Chose a vintage Nikon F over a Canon F-1 for my first full mechanical body
Picked the F because the meterless design seemed simpler to repair long term, but now I'm finding replacement parts for the shutter curtain are harder to source than I expected, has anyone else run into this with older Nikons?

Yeah, 'simpler to repair' is what I told myself about buying a British sports car too. Now I'm just a full-time eBay parts detective with a nice paperweight.

Oh no, I'm so sorry. That's exactly the kind of buyer's remorse that keeps me up at night. There's nothing worse than a beautiful machine that just sits there mocking you every time you walk past it. I really hope you can get that old girl running again soon, before she breaks your heart completely.
