I finally switched from canned air to a vacuum for sensor cleaning

Read a post on here about how canned air leaves residue on mirrorless sensors. Looked it up, saw a test where someone found oil spots after 5 uses. Got a Giottos rocket blower instead, no more streaks.

I trashed a D750 sensor with canned air back in 2017 and had to send it to Nikon for a $200 cleaning.

2017 was actually right around when I started getting serious about cleaning my own sensors, and for a while I was all about the canned air too. Then a buddy of mine tried it on his 5D Mark IV and ended up with this weird oil residue all over the filter. That changed my mind real quick. Now I just use a blower bulb with a HEPA filter on the intake, and if it's really stuck I'll wet clean it with one of those swab kits. Your mileage may vary but I've had way better luck that way.
