Shutter count ethics on used gear, who should disclose?
Sold a Canon 5D Mark III at a shop in Portland last month and they refused to list the shutter count, said it scares buyers. I get that a 250k count sounds bad, but hiding it feels wrong, especially for a pro looking at a workhorse. Last week a customer brought in a body with 180k and the seller claimed it was 'barely used'. Does this community think shutter count should be mandatory on all used listings, or is it a fair negotiation tool?
