Shutter count on a beat up Nikon taught me a lesson in Des Moines
Stopped by a pawn shop in Des Moines last weekend and they had a Nikon D7100 with 210,000 clicks on it. Body was scratched up but the shutter sounded crisp, so I popped the bottom plate off and the mirror box was spotless. Turns out the owner had replaced the shutter assembly twice and kept the rest clean as a whistle. Anyone else trust a high cycle count if the internals look this good, or do you always walk away?

Wondering how you popped the bottom plate off in a pawn shop without them giving you the side-eye... did they let you open it up or did you just go for it?
