That grounding strap trick finally saved a Rolleiflex for me

Last Tuesday I was fixing a Rolleiflex with a shutter that kept hanging up, and after 3 tries I remembered an old tip about wrapping a thin copper wire around the sync terminal to ground the whole assembly. It cleared the erratic firing right away, no parts swapped. Anyone else got a weird grounding hack that saved a stubborn build?

Did you run the ground straight to the lens barrel or just the body? That's the part that always trips me up. I did the same trick on a Mamiya C330 once, worked like a charm. Copper wire is cheap too, beats paying for a whole new shutter. Nothing else cleared it up for me either.
