That spring on the Canon AE-1 viewfinder flew across my shop in Portland

I was replacing a sticky shutter button last Thursday and the little viewfinder spring just launched somewhere near my parts bin. Took me 45 minutes of crawling around with a magnet to find it under the workbench, right next to a 1982 lens cap. Has anyone else lost a tiny part like that and just started ordering a replacement before finding it?
