Why I finally stopped doubting ultrasonic cleaners after 15 years
I used to think ultrasonic cleaners were just fancy shakey water. Two summers ago I got a beat up Canon AE-1 with shutter capping and CLA'd the leaves by hand. That worked but took forever, so I borrowed a bench unit from a guy in Spokane. Popped a stuck sticky aperture in 5 minutes flat, no scraping. Now I own a 2.5 liter one and it's paid for itself on 12 jobs already. Has anyone else found a stubborn part that only ultrasonic would touch?

That 2.5 liter unit sounds like the best camera tool purchase ever.
