Found a top shelf sleeping bag at a trailhead and now I'm conflicted

It was just sitting there by the trash cans at the end of a popular hiking loop, a really nice down bag in great shape. Part of me says finders keepers, but another part thinks someone might come back for it. I've been using it for car camping because it's so warm, but I keep looking over my shoulder. Kinda feels like I stole a hug from a stranger.

Wait, you "stole a hug"?

Man, I get that. That low grade worry in the back of your head just ruins the good thing you found. It's like the bag is super warm but the guilt makes you cold. Been there with a nice jacket left on a bench once, and I never fully enjoyed it.

Totally get that "low grade worry" thing Henry101 mentioned. It's like you can't even enjoy the thing because you're waiting for karma to show up. JessicaPatel I think he meant the jacket felt stolen even though it was just sitting there. That guilt just eats away at the good stuff.
