Sleeping pad went from balloon to pancake on the third night of a 6 night trip in Glacier

I bought a self inflating pad in 2018 and it was great until this July. Woke up on cold dirt at Bowman Lake, checked for leaks with soapy water and found a tiny hole near the valve, probably from folding it sharp. Has anyone else had these fail after a few years or should I just patch it and move on?

Quit whining, 6 years of use is solid, just patch it and move on.
