Just realized the $60 I dropped on a winch cover for my Foreman was the best money I ever spent
A while back I grabbed a cheap canvas cover off Amazon for like $25 and it shredded after one season of hauling my 2014 Foreman on the trailer up to Algonquin. So I coughed up around $60 for a proper padded one at a dealer in Barrie and it has survived two full winters of road salt spray and slush. Pulled the winch apart this spring and the cable and drum were clean as new, honestly I was expecting rust everywhere. Anyone else bother covering their winch or do you just let it eat the salt?
