Picked a Polaris over a Can-Am for my first ATV in Alberta

Last spring I had to decide between a Polaris Sportsman 570 and a Can-Am Outlander 450 for trail riding around Hinton. I went with the Polaris because the dealer gave me a better trade-in offer on my old sled, and after 8 months it's been solid but the fuel gauge is way off. Has anyone else had trouble with Polaris gauges or should I have gone Can-Am instead?

Honestly the fuel gauge thing is pretty common on Polaris machines from what I've heard around the trails. My buddy has a 2019 Sportsman 570 and his reads empty with like 4 liters still in the tank (which is annoying when you're miles from town). Can-Am isn't perfect either though their gauges seem a bit more consistent but I've seen guys complain about the speedo being off on the Outlanders. Maybe try resetting the gauge by pulling the fuse for a few minutes that helped my friend's reading get closer to accurate.

Four liters off seems like a lot, @sage52, but it's kinda like how my phone battery says 30% then dies in five minutes.
