Pro tip: airing down to 12 psi at the start of the Cariboo trail stopped my machine from bouncing all over the washboard
Ran the whole Quesnel to Barkerville loop at full pressure for two seasons and got shaken half to death, dropped to 12 psi last weekend and it rode like a different rig, anyone else tune their tire pressure per trail or just leave it?
Learned this same lesson with my mountain bike years back, ran the tires rock hard because that's what the pump said and got rattled to pieces on every root and rock. Now I drop pressure for the chunk and it's like riding a whole different bike, same as you found with the washboard. Funny how the fix is usually just letting a little air out instead of buying new gear.
