Ran into an old timer on the logging roads near Sudbury last fall
He showed me how to read mud holes by the color of the water, said he learned it from his grandpa in the 60s. Has anyone else had someone just stop and teach you something random on the trails like that?

My buddy Dave (@tyler614 knows him from the Moosejaw meetup) was changing a flat on his quad near Temagami when an old guy pulls up in a beat-up F-150 and shows him how to seal a tire bead with a cigarette lighter and a can of starting fluid. Worked like a charm, and Dave said he wouldn't have believed it if he didn't see it himself. Stuff like that just sticks with you, you know?
