That one old guy at the trailhead who changed my tire

I was up near Timmins last fall and blew a tire on a rocky section of the A21 trail. No cell service, rain was starting to come down, and I was struggling with my scissor jack. This guy in his 70s pulled up on a beat-up 2005 Polaris, took one look, and just handed me a Hi-Lift jack from his rack. He said "you'll break your back with that little thing" and showed me how to use it in about 2 minutes flat. Has anyone else run into a random stranger on the trail who saved their day like that?

Funny how the people with the least to prove are always the first to lend a hand when things go sideways. That old timer probably didn't think twice, but he saved your whole trip with a little know-how and a better tool. It's those quiet acts of kindness that make trail life feel like a real community.
