Am I the only one who spent 45 minutes trying to get a dented can lid off with a screwdriver before realizing the church key was in the drawer the whole time?

Last Tuesday I fought a can of pork and beans for 45 minutes with a flathead and a butter knife because I forgot my $1.50 church key was sitting in the junk drawer two feet away, so has anyone found a can hack that does not involve ruining a perfectly good screwdriver?
