Chicken noodle vs beef stew decision after a 12 hour shift

Last Tuesday I got home from a rough job in Tacoma and only had energy for one can. I had a can of chicken noodle from WinCo and a can of beef stew my sister left here. I picked the beef stew because it's thicker and more filling, but it needed serious help. Added a spoon of instant coffee to the broth, weird but it cut the salt and gave it a smoky depth. Has anyone else tried coffee in canned stew, or am I just too tired to taste right?

Coffee in beef stew is a bold move but honestly a 12 hour shift makes you do weird things. I'm calling it a survival hack more than a taste thing, but hey if it worked it worked.
