Bombed a phone screen at 9am, got the offer by Friday
I totally froze on a phone screen with a recruiter from a logistics company in Denver last Tuesday, could not answer why I wanted to leave my current job without rambling for like two minutes. Instead of ghosting her, I sent a short email that night saying I was nervous and re-answered the question in three clean sentences. She passed me to the hiring manager anyway and I got the offer Friday. Has anyone else saved an interview by just owning the awkward moment instead of pretending it didn't happen?
