Dropped $200 on a resume writing service and got zero callbacks

I paid this company called ProResume back in March to rewrite my whole resume. They promised it would be ATS-friendly and highlight my achievements better. Three months and 40 job applications later, not a single interview invite. I ran my old resume through a free ATS checker and it scored higher than their version. Has anyone else paid for a resume service that actually worked?

Did you actually look at the ATS keywords in the job descriptions for those 40 apps before you paid for the rewrite? Most of those services just use generic templates and don't dig into what specific roles are scanning for. Might be worth matching your resume to each job instead of trusting a one-size-fits-all service.

Saw your reply @skyler_kim15 and honestly I was too busy patting myself on the back for hitting 40 apps to notice the keywords. Guess I paid for a "professional" template that just made my resume look like everyone else's.
