Hot take: a career change into a new field isn't the fresh start everyone claims

I jumped from retail management to tech support 6 months ago thinking it'd reset my stress levels, but the same office politics followed me here. Has anyone else found that switching industries just trades one set of headaches for another?

Figured changing fields would be like moving to a different beach, but the sand still gets everywhere.

Moved from teaching to admin work and it's the exact same thing. Different pile of paperwork, same headaches. You swap out grading papers for filling out spreadsheets, but the stress level stays the same. And the people you work with? Turns out every office has a version of the coworker who microwaves fish in the break room. You can change the scenery but not the problems that come with it.
