I turned down a $15k salary bump to stay at a startup instead of going corporate

The money would have been nice, but the corporate role wanted me in the office 5 days a week and I knew that commute would burn me out after 3 months, so now I'm curious if anyone else has traded cash for flexibility and regretted it or not.

How long's that commute actually saving you each day?

I get what you're saying, but I see it a bit different. Saving 15 minutes each way adds up to 30 minutes a day, which is 2.5 hours a week I'm not stuck in traffic. That's basically a whole extra evening at home every week just from skipping the drive. Plus I can roll out of bed at 8:55 for a 9am meeting, so for me that's worth a lot more than a shorter commute that still involves sitting in a car. What's your cutoff where the time saved stops being worth it?
