My old supervisor's packing tip still makes me smile

Back in 2019 I worked retail in Tulsa and my supervisor, a guy named Ray, saw me struggling with a display fixture for 20 minutes. He walked over, said "you're working against the bracket, not with it," and flipped it around in one move. That simple fix stuck with me longer than any training manual. Even now at my office job, I catch myself asking if I'm fighting the tool instead of using it the right way. Anyone else have a tiny trick from a coworker that just never left your brain?
