My resume was a wall of text for 8 years, a recruiter in Austin fixed it in 5 minutes

I used to cram every duty I ever did into 2 pages, thinking more detail meant more qualified. Last month a recruiter at a job fair in Austin told me to cut everything before 2019 and use bullet points with real numbers, like 'handled 40 tickets a month' instead of 'responsible for support'. I trimmed my resume from 700 words to 250, and got 3 interviews in 2 weeks after getting zero for 6 months. Has anyone else had a tiny tweak like that completely flip their response rate?

Handled 40 tickets a month" reminds me of my cousin who fixed his dating profile the same way and got way more matches lol.
