Rant: A guy I worked one job with said something about pricing that I still can't shake
I did a driveway wash with this older dude named Ray down in Bakersfield about 2 years back. When I quoted the homeowner $150, Ray pulled me aside and said 'Kid, when you're the cheapest guy in town, the only customer you get is the one nobody else wanted.' I brushed it off at the time because I needed every job I could get. Now I'm turning down lowball work left and right and wondering if he was right from day one, how did you all figure out when to finally raise your rates?
