Spent $300 on a career coaching package that was just generic advice

I signed up for a 6-week career coaching program last year thinking they'd tailor it to my plumbing business. Instead, every session felt like they were reading off a script about 'finding your passion' and 'networking better.' I lost $300 and 6 Tuesday nights I'll never get back. Has anyone else burned cash on a career service that sounded legit but was totally useless?

Oh man, that's brutal. $300 is a nice chunk of change, especially when you're running a business. What kind of specific stuff were you actually hoping they'd cover for plumbing? Like, was it more about finding new commercial contracts or figuring out how to manage your crew better?
