Stop chasing the 'perfect' job listing, they don't exist for entry level

I spent 5 weeks applying to jobs in Austin that all asked for 3+ years of experience for what was basically data entry, and out of 42 applications I got 1 interview that paid $2 less per hour than my current delivery gig, so has anyone else found that the real move is just finding a small company that'll train you on the spot instead of waiting for that dream posting to magically lower its bar?

42 applications in 5 weeks? That's like 8 a day. Did you even tailor any of them or just blast the same resume everywhere? People act like applying is a full time job but it's really just a numbers game until something sticks. Small companies that train on the spot still got bills to pay, they ain't hiring out of kindness. Either way you're trading one grind for another, so what's the actual difference?
