Just crossed 500 window casings without a single callback
I hit 500 window casings last week on a custom home build in the suburbs. That number matters because my first 50 had a 10 percent callback rate for gaps at the miters. I changed my approach after job 60 and started using a digital angle finder instead of guessing. Now I measure joints to the half degree and dry fit every corner before glue. It took me three years to get that consistent. Anyone else track their personal benchmarks like this?

Oh come ON, 500 is cool and all but I just don't get the obsession with tracking every little number like that. It feels like you're overthinking it honestly. If your joints are tight and customers are happy, who CARES what the count is?

Exactly! You're saying the numbers don't matter if the result is good, right? Like, if a guitarist plays a flawless set but someone's counting how many times they tapped their foot, that would be missing the whole point of the music. Sometimes we get so caught up in the numbers game that we forget what actually makes something work.
