Just saw a crew in Dallas using a framing nailer for finish trim. That's a hard no from me now.

Man that's just lazy work right there. I notice people cutting corners all the time now with stuff like this, using the wrong tool just because it's faster. It's like nobody wants to take the extra time to do things right anymore.

Gotta be honest @stone.thomas, I used to be the type that figured "good enough" was fine for most stuff. But seeing how often things fail or look like crap later because someone took the shortcut really changed my mind. Had a buddy try to save 20 minutes on a deck build by using framing nails instead of proper deck screws and the whole thing was wobbling within a year. Taking the extra time upfront just saves you from redoing it later.
