Let that $150 router bit set collect dust for a year before I used it
Picked up a 15-piece set from a garage sale and finally tried one yesterday, the thing wobbled so bad it left scorch marks on my oak. Anyone else fall for a cheap multi-bit deal and regret it?

Used to buy those big sets all the time thinking I was being smart with my money... but then I tried to actually cut dovetails with one and the bits just wandered all over the place. Had a buddy who swore by cheap router bits and I thought he was being dramatic until I ruined a nice piece of walnut. Now I just buy a few good quality bits one at a time when I need them, way better than having a box full of junk.
