My old miter saw blade was skipping on cuts for weeks, swapped it out and the difference was night and day.
It was a Diablo 80-tooth blade I'd had for almost three years. Every cut on some oak trim was leaving a rough edge and burning the wood. Put on a fresh one yesterday and the cuts are glass smooth now, no burning at all. How often do you guys actually change out your blades before they get this bad?

Yeah, I let mine go way too long last year too.

Oh man, that's rough. I did the same thing with a compost bin once, forgot about it for three months, and when I finally opened it up it was like something from a horror movie. But here's what worked for me after that disaster - I started setting a reminder on my phone every two weeks to check on anything I'm growing or fermenting. Also, I found that if you stick to smaller projects, like one bucket at a time, it's way easier to keep track. Hopefully next time your bucket experiment turns out better.

Remember that weird trend where people were trying to grow their own potatoes in buckets? I gave it a shot and completely forgot about the bucket on my balcony. Found it months later, just a pot of black sludge. The smell was a whole new kind of bad.
