Pro tip: Count your nail gun strips for a week, the number might shock you

I mean, I just hit 500 strips of 16d nails used on a single framing job in Phoenix. Idk, maybe it's just me but that felt like a crazy amount of material moving through one tool. Has anyone else actually tracked their nail usage on a big project?

Yeah that's a wild number. Makes you realize how much of the job cost is just in fasteners. I should start tracking mine too.

Honestly never even thought to count them, seems like extra work on top of everything else. The nails go in the wood and the job gets done, that's what matters to me. Tracking every strip feels like you're managing a warehouse instead of building something. I just order more when the box gets light.
