Spent 6 hours chasing a 1/16 inch gap on a cabinet install in Rochester

Honestly I almost lost my mind last Tuesday on a kitchen job in Rochester. The face frames on two base cabinets sat 1/16 inch off and I figured it was the floor, so I shimmed for two hours and got nothing. Turned out the wall behind them bowed 3/8 inch over 6 feet and I never checked it with a straightedge first. I ended up sistering a furring strip and rehanging both boxes, which took 4 more hours I did not have. Ngl, how do you guys catch bowed walls before you start hanging, do you check every wall or just the ones that look off?
