That moment I realized I was cutting crown molding wrong for 15 years

I was helping my buddy frame a kitchen in Denver and he watched me flip the board the old way and just laughed... told me I had been reading the spring angle backwards the whole time and showed me his trick. Anyone else get a rude awakening like that after decades in the trade?

Man crown molding is brutal until someone finally shows you the right way. Took me forever to realize I was measuring for inside corners completely backwards. Felt like an idiot when a trim carpenter in Grand Junction broke it down for me in five minutes.

@skylerg17 that's how it always goes man. Five minutes with the right person saves you five days of frustration.
