Had a client call me out on my seam placement last month
They pointed out that my seams were always running the same way down the hall, making the carpet look striped in certain light. I switched to a 45-degree angle on the next job in Phoenix and the difference was night and day. Anyone else get caught in a seam rut like that?

Had a client in Tempe ask if I was trying to make a runway. My seams were that obvious. Felt like a real pro that day.

Last year a guy in Chandler said my lines looked like a highway stripe. I had to step back and squint, but he was totally right. That laser-straight seam down the center is a dead giveaway. Makes you feel like you actually know what you're doing for once. Those little comments from clients are the best kind of feedback.

Nah, that's just low bar praise.
