Hit 500 yards of carpet seaming tape used this month

I've been keeping track of supplies for my last few jobs and realized I went through 500 yards of seaming tape just in November. That's enough to run a line through a whole house three times over. How much tape do you guys burn through in a busy month?

Oh jeez, isn't seaming tape usually sold by the foot or roll, not yard? I mean, maybe it's just me but 500 yards sounds like a lot of tape even for a busy month.

Wait, 500 yards? That's 1,500 feet of seaming tape! I had to stop and count it out because my brain couldn't process that number. For reference, a standard roll of seaming tape is usually like 75 or 100 feet. So we're talking about 15 to 20 full rolls of tape for one month. That would cover, I don't know, a whole warehouse floor of carpet installation, not a normal house or two. Unless they're literally re-carpeting a football field every week, that number has to be a typo or something.
