Six months into this trade and finally got my first seamless corner seam right

I started installing carpets back in February with a crew out of Phoenix, and corners have been my nemesis. Last Thursday I had a tricky L-shaped stair landing where the pile direction had to match perfectly. I took my time with the seam iron and hit it at exactly 375 degrees, pressing from the center out. The customer came down and asked if it was even seamed because she couldn't see or feel it. Has anyone else had a specific technique click for them after weeks of messing up?

Actually I gotta disagree - a visible seam line means you pushed it too hot.

Hell yeah that feeling when the customer can't even find the seam is the best. Had the same thing on a berber install last month, kept my temp lower and went slower and it finally came out invisible.
