Tripped over my own stretcher in a client's house yesterday
I was working a bedroom install in a split-level house near Cleveland. Had the power stretcher positioned wrong and it slipped mid-pull, sent me stumbling into a nightstand. Knocked over a lamp and cracked the shade. Had to stop, apologize to the homeowner, and finish the room with a knee kicker instead. Took me an extra hour to get the wrinkles out. Anyone else ever eat it in front of a customer?

Haha oh man I've done the stretcher faceplant dance before. At least you didn't take the homeowner out with you when you went down.

Yeah the "faceplant dance" part got me laughing. I remember carrying a patient down a spiral staircase once and my partner tripped on a loose rug. We both went down but somehow the stretcher stayed mostly level. Learned that day to check for rugs before starting the carry out.
