Wasted $400 on a fancy power stretcher that broke in a month

I bought this high end power stretcher from a supply house in Phoenix thinking it would save me time on big jobs. The handle cracked on the third install and the guy at the shop said they don't cover 'wear and tear' on the warranty. Now I'm back to using my old manual stretcher that's 10 years old and works fine. Has anyone else had bad luck with those new aluminum frame stretchers?

Spending $400 on something that breaks in a month sounds like a waste.

Yeah, that's usually a sign the build quality is crap or the warranty service is terrible. Had something similar with a $300 pair of headphones that crapped out at 6 weeks. Checked the warranty and it only covered 30 days, basically useless. Next time I'd go for something with at least a 1 year warranty or read the fine print on their customer support history.
